It gives idea of contemporary life in difficult modern circumstances. This book will be very helpful for Russian people; it will help them to believe in themselves, to find a support. It's very important for people to survive in today's awful conditions. They have to believe in themselves. I am sure The Way to Happiness will help." — D.G., Moscow
I'm 22 years old and I recently returned home from the service in the Army. The Army was a turning point in my life and I attribute that to the book The Way to Happiness. It opened my eyes to many things and I'm very happy that I was able to get a hold of this book.
I live in a very young country Ukraine. It is one year old. We are going through some very hard times now. Huge inflation, unemployment, and criminality — all these threaten people's ability to survive. A lot of my friends try to drown themselves in drugs and vodka. It's very painful to look at them.
I believe that with your assistance I could help not only my friends but others as well.

(4) The person himself decides how others deal with him. (5) To be trustworthy. (6) To be a protector for the environment. — M J
Colombian official claims book is moral and ethical miracle This little book is a moral and ethical miracle that we will drop in the middle of our society hoping that its message is transmitted to all social layers and every corner of our homeland. It is not a religious or political message but it is a universal message. In all parts of our country we find passions, selfishness and ambitions tending to take us away from The Way to Happiness. If Colombia applied the teachings of this book, it will become another peaceful, honest and respectful country. And we wouldn't be fighting this bloody war.
— H. O., Former Minister of Interior Republic of Colombia

From the Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations I am writing you to confirm that I have received the wonderful book The Way to Happiness. Please accept my most sincere gratitude for that. While reading it I found it as one of the most moving and touching ways to speak about life and the horrible senselessness of the war. My personal purpose in writing to your Foundation is two fold; firstly as a colleague working in the field serving humanity; and secondly to share with you our appreciation in supporting the activities of our program for street children.
We appreciate your initiative in sharing with us The Way to Happiness booklets during your visit to our program. Likewise, the same materials [have been] endorsed as [the] resource in our Learning Center. Precepts of the booklet were made as our resource in making our learning curriculum on values. We find the common sense values are just what these children need to learn.
I understand you are working on the Tagalog translation, which we think is appropriate. If we could share this material with all agencies working for children in difficult circumstances (children at war, child labor, etc.) then I believe that we are reaching out perfectly.

From my viewpoint issues stated in it are very timely and they will undoubtedly benefit in education of the youth especially in the hard times that we are experiencing now.
One of the main qualities of the book is the fact that it can be easily understood by people of any age. It also teaches people in an unimposing manner how to retain their dignity in any situation, providing they follow the tenets presented in the book.

The ideas expressed in the book The Way to Happiness are very close to what we intend to build and cherish in our school. We are involved in joint Russian-American programme of positive development the purpose of which is to enable students to develop basic democratic skills such as making healthy decisions, developing confidence in their abilities, offering positive peer support and exercising leadership abilities within a supportive school climate.
Your clearly defined rules for better living coincide with our idea of the happy future life of our children. A school should not be a preparation for life. A school should be life itself. Education should help a child to realize his potentialities.
We were greatly satisfied to know that there are people who share our values.
— B., Principal of School I205, Russia
Very simple rules of behavior and mistakes we can avoid, principles of co-existence we should remember these are the main values the book teaches any who wants to live in peace and friendship with other people. Each of us can live according to these rules and there will be no war, poverty, hate but only love and mutual understanding.
— E. M., Chief of the Rare Books Department
My close colleague and I familiarized ourselves with great pleasure with the context of this wonderful book. We never came across anything like this before. Just until recent time we lived in the country under totalitarianism regime. Totally different principals and standards of human relationships were imposed upon people. Freedom of religion was only proclaimed verbally but was not provided in reality. People were forced to live by double standards and that lead to the loss of understanding of the real values of the human existence.
The problem of choosing the correct direction for the human values is especially urgent for Ukrainian people who just recently obtained their independence. From my very extensive experience in working with students at the Zaporojskyi University I've learned how important it is to help in proper time these students in making correct choices in their lives.
I am deeply convinced that The Way to Happiness is the very source that students and youth of Ukraine need.
I am greatly convinced that familiarization of the Ukrainian people and representatives of other nations that inhabit our young country with this book will promote harmony in the national relationships.
— Zaporojyie Ukraine

Our community, having experienced a long and severe period of communist oppression, is in great demand of spiritual values such as honesty, conscientiousness, sincerity, tolerance, etc. These qualities will help us to overcome the severe inheritance and to advance on the road of freedom and independence to the European community of nations.
The book offers many an opportunity to adhere to the spiritual values. We would like to thank you once more for your kind attention and your wish to help us.
— Ministry of Energy Lithuania
